Our president Frank Caliva’s great-great-grandfather, Patrick Ryan Quinlan, emigrated from Ireland to the United States in the 1840s. With no formal education but an entrepreneurial spirit and a tremendous work ethic, he became a successful business owner, an elected official, and a respected community leader. His florist business endured in Central New York for almost 100 years. When Frank started his company in 2014, he knew he wanted to capture the same spirit that led to his great-great-grandfather’s success – which is why Frank named the business in his honor. 

Today, P. R. Quinlan’s business isn’t growing flowers, but it is helping our customers grow into new markets and new products. We don’t tend to plants, but we do dig deeply into regulatory and legislative policymaking to find the information needed by our clients and are not satisfied until we find answers to their questions. We don’t own greenhouses, but we do support our clients in their efforts to deploy clean energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. 

And just like P.R., we act at all times with professionalism and integrity in our interactions with our clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
